Plus, everything you want to know about training and caring for your four-legged friend is presented to you under one roof. What's more, you will also have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with experts on any dog-related topic. You are encouraged to bring Fido and participate in these events. This year's shows are taking place at NRG Center, 1 Fannin St., Houston, TX 77054, from July 17–21, 2024.
Hill Country Cluster of Dog Shows

Mark your calendar for the Hill Country Cluster of Dog Shows, a free and family-friendly event where almost 700 dogs will compete in different classes. The event will take place at 3785 Highway 27 in Kerrville, TX 78028, from March 7 through 10, 2024. For further information, please contact 210-725-0661.
FWGSDC AKC Fast CAT
On March 2nd and 3rd, 2024, the Fort Worth German Shepherd Dog Club will be hosting a Fast CAT event at 205 Co. Rd. 180, Leander, TX 78641. For your information, the FWGSDC is not a German Shepherd rescue organization, and as such, all AKC-recognized breeds and all American dogs are eligible for the event.
River City Cluster Of Dog Shows
Mark your calendar for one of the premier dog shows in the U.S.: The River City Cluster of Dog Shows. This event, which welcomes exhibitors from all over the globe, is held at the Exposition Hall on the grounds of the Freeman Coliseum (Bexar County Community Arenas) in San Antonio, Texas. This year's event is scheduled for July 12–14, 2024.
TCKC’s Annual Dog Shows
Every year, the Travis County Kennel Club hosts an annual all-breed, AKC-sanctioned dog show and specialties. The club, which said they had a great 2023 show, announced on their website that they will post information on their 2024 show in the spring.
Groom Texas
Mark your calendar for Groom Texas!, a dog grooming show that features breed standard competitions, educational seminars, and a creative styling contest. The grooming show, which fosters interaction and the sharing of ideas, will take place within the Houston World Series of Dog Shows in Houston, Texas, on July 19–21, 2024.
Greater Houston Golden Retriever Club Shows
This year, the Greater Houston Golden Retriever Club will be hosting an all-breed agility trial on May 10–12, 2024, an obedience trial on July 17, 2024, and a conformation show on November 29, 2024.
Alamo Dog Obedience Club's Fast CAT & Agility Events
Mark your calendar for the Alamo Dog Obedience Club's Fast CAT and Agility Events, which take place at the ADOC Training and Event Center at 8013 New Sulphur Springs, San Antonio, Texas. Volunteers are welcome to help host these events. To volunteer, please call Debbie Moore at 210-378-4202. The club's Fast CAT events will be held in March, October, and December. Their 2024 Agility Trial dates are March 1–3 and October 4–6, 2024.
Paws in the Pool
On September 7, 2024, a dog-friendly event (Paws in the Pool) will take place at Frisco Water Park in Frisco, TX, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A $9 ticket is required for each dog and each person, and an advance online ticket purchase is required, as no onsite ticket sales will be available on the event day.
