According to a 2023 report, Indiana has more dog owners than cat owners, with almost seventy percent of households having pets. That said, here are dog events in 2023 for Hoosiers. 1. Bloomington Indiana Kennel Club Dog Shows
The Bloomington Indiana Kennel Club will be hosting their Limestone Cluster Dog Shows from May 11 to 14, 2023. The dog event offers attendants an excellent opportunity to meet the Breeds and learn about them. In addition, visitors also get to ask breed experts questions about specific breeds that are of interest to them. Furthermore, the event gives visitors the chance to learn the basics of dog shows and the requirements to determine if they would like to participate.

2. Greater Lafayette Kennel Club Dog Shows
The Greater Lafayette Kennel Club sponsors various dog shows in Indianapolis as a public service. Throughout the year, the club holds confirmation, obedience and agility classes. In 2023, GLKC will be holding four agility trials, events wherein dogs exhibit their agile nature and adaptability by following cues from the handler through a timed obstacle course of jumps, tunnels, weave poles and other objects. All four events will be held in Indianapolis, IN.

3. Egg-Paw-Looza
Bring Fido to Egg-Paw-Looza, a fun dog event sponsored by Centier Bank. The show will take place at Asa Bales Park in Westfield, IN, US, on Saturday, April 1st, 2023. 4. ARPO Dog Olympics
Bring your precious pup to this dog annual dog-friendly event that will take place on September 16, 2023, at Broad Ripple Park in Indianapolis, IN, US. Spectators of all ages are welcome to the show. The fun-filled dog event will include various competitions such as an obstacle course, pie eating contest, t-shirt race, shedding contests, bone finding contest and more! The Hoosier Dachshund Club will be hosting three dog shows titled "Field Trials" from May 19 to May 21st, 2023 in Portland, IN. The dog event is taking place at the Grand Lake Beagle Club. 6. Agility Club of Evansville Dog Shows
Located in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, the Agility Club of Evansville hosts AKC and NADAC trials every year. The club hosts 3-day AKC agility trials in March, June, August and November each year at the Metro Sports Center in Evansville, Indiana. The NADAC agility trials are held each year in April and September. The 2023 AKC agility trials are scheduled for June 30 to July 2 and Aug 18-19-20.
