Good Samaritan Resuscitates Stranger’s Dog That Dropped Dead On A Sidewalk

Last week, a woman was walking her dog somewhere in the United States when the canine suddenly collapsed on the sidewalk. Fortunately, an online comedian named Jay happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Jay says he ran over and performed CPR on the pup after he heard the woman screaming for help, saying her dog had collapsed.

According to Jay, the dog had no pulse or heartbeat. In a video of the incident posted on YouTube, Jay, who says he knew he had to act fast, is seen giving chest compressions with rescue breaths to the dog. He says he felt a jerk in the dog's heart and knew the emergency lifesaving procedure, which he’d learned through YouTube videos, was working. Jay says the dog started coming back to life after the second round of chest compressions.

Jay says this was his first time putting his CPR knowledge into practice after learning it on YouTube. And it worked! Not only did the dog come back to life, but it also managed to stand back up on its own.

According to vets, various conditions such as diabetes, Addison's, heatstroke, dehydration, and severe reactions to drugs can cause a dog to collapse. The most susceptible dog breeds are Doberman Pinschers, Great Danes, and Boxers.
